New Year, New Word! By Ashley
Trust was my word for 2023, and although it definitely was the word I referred to repeatedly, with this new year, I have selected a new word, or should I say new words. For those new to my blog, or if you want a refresher, you can read an earlier article I wrote on the subject: Trust. It will clarify exactly why I choose a new word for each year. I also highly recommend visiting:

Not only does she give an awesome explanation for words of the year, but the stories about her own word/words of the year are not to be missed!
And, with that said, my words for this year are Clarity and Joy with a side of Glimmer. I’ve been drawn to the word clarity for a while now. There are several parts of my life that are uncertain, and I know in time, I will get the clarity I need. I hope to be open and Joyful to this clarity when it does come. So why the side of glimmer, you may ask? Glimmer, by definition, means:
- Shine faintly with a wavering light.
- A faint or wavering light.
- A faint sign of a feeling or quality, especially a desirable one
Wait? Don’t we want to shine brightly with an unwavering light? Yes, yes, we do. However, sometimes, the smallest glimmer of intuition or hope can lead to the greatest revelations and, in turn, that joyful clarity we may seek.
So, there ya have it. My words for the upcoming year are Clarity and Joy with a side of glimmer, please. 🙂
What are yours? Sending much love!
