I am hoping everyone had a very Happy Christmas and New Year! Although everything did not quite go how I wanted it to, everything happened how it was supposed to. And, you know, if we can step back for a moment and just let life, more often than not, “supposed to” happens anyway, and is quite lovely when it does.
On Christmas Eve, I found myself alone on a cross-country flight. Flying from one coast to the other is really not so bad. It takes over 4 hours, the perfect time for a double feature if you are a movie buff like me. 🙂
I decided to watch the movie Last Christmas. I felt like I may have seen it before, and I had. However, this time, it had my full attention, and moments in the movie hit differently than the first time I saw it. For me, this movie goes above and beyond the normal Christmas rom-com flick. (It has Emma Thompson in it, so it kinda has to.) Its poignant and beautiful message can and should be shared throughout the year. And, much like my Christmas, everything might not go how you want it to, but it definitely is how it’s supposed to.
So, whether you wait til next Christmas to watch Last Christmas or you do it now, I encourage you to watch it. Let me know what you think.
