Happy Birthday to my Wonderful Sister, Angie By Ashley
Happy birthday to my awesome sister, Angie! Although I stand a good 5 inches taller, I have ALWAYS looked up to my big little sister. I watched her twirl baton, cheer, and dance her way through high school and college. I know music from her teenage years better than I know music from my own. I remember my little heart absolutely breaking when she left for college. In short, I stood in awe of my older sister, and she still amazes me with her outgoing nature, love for people and animals, strength, and grace to this day.
Angie’s favorite colors, teal and aqua, are much like the waters of the places she most wants to visit; The Maldives, St. Thomas, Barbados, St. Maarten, and The Galapagos Islands are just a few of the places on her bucket list. It comes as no surprise that she would like to learn to scuba dive before visiting any one of these. It also comes as no surprise that her favorite foods of shrimp, lobster, scallops, and crab legs all hail from these island paradises. She also loves every shade of purple.
When not daydreaming of island life, she enjoys art and growing things. She can be found fussing over her quite lovely pour paintings and tending to her over thirty tomato and pepper plants. To see some of the fruits of her labor, both in the garden and artistically, visit her Insta here.
When asked if life exists beyond our solar system, she says that it feels crazy to think that our planet is the only place where things are perfect for supporting life. As a believer, she finds it hard to think He would have picked just one place for existence. Whether that existence looks like us remains to be seen. Although she has not had any close encounters with aliens that she knows of, there is a lot of evidence from the ancient world that gives credence to the possibility.
When asked what love means, she says: Love = Devotion + Loyalty. It is helping a person or an animal feel secure. It is a deep sense of giving of herself completely to make another living being whole, well, and happy. That is the kind of love I have always felt from my big sister and the kind of love I know others feel from her as well. She lives her love!
Thank you for always being there for me - whether it is to listen, to shoot the breeze, or to laugh! Also, thank you for being my sneak peeker! She reads almost all my posts before they get put on the blog (except this one!), and I appreciate it!
My birthday wish for Angie is for her to travel, see, do, learn, and continue to love!
I love you!
