Happy Birthday, Collin! By Ashley
My lovely and loving husband and tech guru for this blog had a birthday in August that I cannot let go unnoticed. Besides being one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet, Collin is a jack of all trades and a master of almost all things tech. He has the superpower of knowing how things work. He says that is why technology comes so naturally to him. Thank goodness, cause it sure does not come naturally to me!
He loves the color purple in all its various forms (note the purple shoes in the pic above) and would rather cook you a meal than tell you his favorite. Though a worldwide traveler, Ireland, and Italy are two places he has yet to go but would like to visit someday.
In his spare time, he enjoys video games, making Dr. Who podcasts, baking, playing guitar, videoing Gabi’s volleyball, planning his next Halloween haunt, and getting sucked into my competitive British reality TV shows. Glow-Up is our latest in this genre. (Thank you, Angie! If you are into make-up, sci-fi, and face art, you should definitely check it out!)
Something interesting about Collin is that complete strangers feel compelled to share their life stories with him. I’m not kidding! I told him it’s because I think he was some kind of spiritual guru in a former life. He just laughs, but I’m convinced this is why!
He says there is definitely life beyond Earth. To quote the movie Contact, “Otherwise, it would be just a great waste of space.”
Love to him is listening, holding hands, little kisses, and sometimes just being.
My wish for Collin this year is for him to continue to enjoy his job but also to have more time to do his spare time favorite things!
